12 Jun Travel Grants for PhD Students and Post-docs in Synthetic Biology
The ATT SB2 provides support to PhD students and post-docs working in Synthetic Biology to communicate their research results in international conferences.
Applicants having an abstract accepted at a conference (for a talk but possibly also for a poster) can apply for support to cover for conference fees, housing and travel expenses.
The applicant must be affiliated to the University of Bordeaux.
The application should be sent by email to: email@example.com
The file should contain:
- The acceptance letter / email to the conference
- The abstract submitted
- The CV of the applicant
- A short signed letter in English (typically one page, maximum 2 pages) written by the applicant explaining his contribution to Synthetic Biology and describing the scope and quality of the conference (including a link to the conference website). In this letter the applicant should explain why it is important for him to join this conference and the amount of funding requested
- The letter should also contain the names, affiliation and signature of the PhD advisor with a statement that the advisor is informed about this application
For the accepted applications, the funds will be transfered to the laboratory of the PhD advisor to cover for the travel expenses. Upon acceptance, a summary of the results presented will be requested to be broadcasted on the SB2 website.
